Doug Hill was a speaker at the ICLEF seminar on April 27, 2017 on “The New Medical Malpractice Act.”  Doug spoke on the “Role of the Panel Chair in Light of the Amendments.”

Rori Goldman presented to the Central Indiana Veterinary Medical Association (CIVMA) on January 20, 2016 on the topic of ‘Keeping Your Files Up to Date – Laws in Record Keeping’.

Nature of Case: Veterinary negligence
Facts: Case arose from dental procedure on 12 year-old dog. Judgment held below amount offered at mediation and one week prior to trial. Jury accepted the defense’s valuation of the dog, which is considered to be personal property under Indiana law. Jury rejected Plaintiff’s demand for funeral and burial expenses.
